Easy & Tasty
May 07, 2013

I think this is one of the easiest and tasty recipes in a book I have fun cooking the food and most of all I and family enjoy it. I didn't have to milk a cow, churn the butter, pick the berries. It's healthy I can get all the ingredients at the store and make up fast. I think you'll agree when you get the book too. Blessings, Lynn

Not a Good Amish Cookbook
May 13, 2012

I live in Pennsylvania and own many Amish cookbooks. This one was a real disappointment. Almost every recipe uses prepared processed food. Most Amish recipes I've encountered use straight from the farm fresh ingredients not cans and Velveeta cheese (yes, I said Velveeta cheese). This book reminds me of the "White Trash Southern Cooking" books so popular a couple of decades ago. This is suppose to contain family recipes but they certainly aren't wholesome family recipes or the Amish recipes I'm use to seeing and serving my family.
