Marta Perry’s riveting novel, Leah’s Choice, begins with the Amish matchmakers in Pleasant Valley all abuzz over the arrival of a newcomer from Lancaster County. After all, it’s been 10 years since Johnny Kile jumped the fence and broke Leah Beliler’s heart. Daniel Glick, a handsome widower with three children, would make the perfect mate for their devoted schoolteacher—and it seems he agrees. Why else is he spending so much time with her? Indeed, Daniel sees the beauty in Leah’s eyes—but the pain she sees in his convinces Leah that he is afraid to love again. When Johnny returns, seeking a new start, Leah summons her faith to help her decide between two pathways, either of which will change her life forever.

I throughly enjoyed this book. It was very well written and very interesting. I do love to read stories about the Amish lifestyle. I wish we could all slow down a little and enjoy life a little more.
