Why did Jesus pick Samaria as the place to announce his messianic identity? Why did God lead Moses and the Israelites to Mount Horeb after they fled from Egypt? A Visual Guide to Bible Events reveals the fascinating connections between Bible events and locations, from Genesis to Revelation. This beautifully designed book is filled with more than 500 full-color photographs, maps and commentary that brings the ancient world of Scripture to life. The engaging writing style makes this resource perfect for modern readers—students, scholars, pastors or laypersons—who want to understand Bible events in a deeper, more profound way. A Visual Guide to Bible Events is an invaluable resource that should be included in every Christian’s library.

Few books are able to reach into history and find reason and purpose for Biblical events. Yet, unlike any book I have come across, in a very concise manner this work goes through important events and provides deep insight. The pictures are a plus, but it is the details of the events chosen that are to be admired. Aside from the Bible itself, and maybe a good commentary, if there was one book I would recommend that would enlighten a reader, this would be it. The price seems steep until one realizes the return. When I think of some of the garbage and so-called Christian fiction that fills our bookstores, and leads many astray, I am thankful that a book such as this exists and can provide a contrast to so much nonsense.
