Great insights! I simply could not put the book down. I applaud Terri Blackstock for addressing subject matter that many wouldn't dare. It's time we get real! Intervention, as with all the books by this author, is well put together. She has your attention from the beginning to end. Intervention is very realistic. It is a problem that many families are touched by - if not consumed by in the day to day struggle of a family member on drugs! Family economy and social lines are not a variable in the effects and results of addiction to drugs! No matter who you are -- drugs are only destructive! Good read!

I was supposed to go to bed at 10pm, due to working the next day. The book Intervention kept me up until 12 midnight, then I had to force myself to put it down. Finished it the next day. Great reading.

Rarely does a book capture my attention from the first sentence. Terri Blackstock's Intervention did just that. I received the book on a Friday. Saturday morning, while my family was sleeping, I opened the book and from the first sentence, I was hooked. The intense story unfolded rapidly and with great suspense all along the way. I read that morning until lunchtime when I finished the book. The characters were alive and easily drew me in to imagine all the possibilities related to the crime and the part each character played. The ending was exciting and satisfying. My only regret was my disappointment when I had finished the book. I wanted another equally fetching story to begin right away! I shared the book with my daughter and friends who all share the same opinion of Intervention. Way to go, Terri! Keep 'em coming!
