Terry Blackstocks’s Intervention is a gripping novel of intrigue and suspense that delivers the page-turning drama readers around the world have come to expect from this bestselling author.
Barbara Covington has what she suspects is her one last chance to save her daughter from a devastating addiction to drugs: staging a successful intervention is the only thing that will save her daughter’s life. But when 18-year-old Emily disappears on the way to drug treatment—and her interventionist is found dead at the airport—Barbara enters her darkest nightmare of all.
Barbara and her son set out to find Emily before Detective Kent Harlan arrests her for a crime he is sure she committed. Fearing for Emily’s life, Barbara maintains her daughter’s innocence, but does she really know her anymore? Meanwhile, Kent has questions of his own. His gut tells him that this is an open-and-shut case of a desperate addict killing for drugs. But the more he gets to know Barbara, the more he begins to hope he’s wrong about Emily.
Fear rises as the mysteries intensify: Did Emily’s obsession with drugs lead her to commit murder to feed her addiction—or is she yet another victim of a cold-blooded killer?

I like most of Terri Blackstocks books. I enjoyed this one very much although I felt like there was something missing - perhaps the characters could have been developed a bit more.

I enjoy Terri Blackstock books immensely. The way she captures this family's experience is so realistic you feel you are a part of the family experiencing all the hurt, anger and right and wrong judgment calls they are going through. Tremendous story!!!!

I really enjoyed this book, although it was very real. Having gone through a family member's drug addiction, this
story brought back a lot of memories. The most important memory is that God doesn't let go of those who have turned to HIM. Thanks, Terry.

I couldn't put this book down! It was so well written around the subject matter and kept me forgetting the clock completely! I was sad when I finished it and will be looking for another book by Terri soon.
