A Dream to Call My Own is the third and final installment in Tracie Peterson’s bestselling historical romance series, The Brides of Gallatin County. Full of adventure and inspiration in the untamed Montana territory of the 1800s, it will delight her fans and is sure to garner new ones.
Lacy Gallatin is the youngest of the Gallatin sisters. She’s a woman with a mission—to find her father's killer—and she won’t give up until she tracks him down. Haunted by the belief that she failed the father who meant so much to her, Lacy is also battling a desire to have something more than just revenge, something she can't quite figure out.
Enter Dave Shepard, deputy sheriff for that part of the territory. Dave has been fervently trying to find the man who killed George Gallatin, but he always feels inadequate somehow when it comes to the beautiful Lacy. When they are together, the tension crackles between them—both when they argue and when they kiss. Lacy finds Dave frustratingly irresistible...but is it truly love? And he’s a distraction when it comes to her main objective—to find the man who killed her father.
Only time—and trusting that God has only good in store for them both—will tell.

I loved this book, I read all three and I really enjoy the way the Characters were in all three books, at the same time each book was woven around one special character. I hated to see it end, I would love to read a book about Chubby, after he grows up.
