Anna Dewdney is the mother of two wonderful daughters. And even though their preschool days are long behind them, she still remembers what it was like to drop them off for the first time. Was it harder for her or the kids? She’s not so sure. But one thing is certain. She knows just the right words to say in Llama Llama Misses Mama to comfort kids who are anxious about spending the day away from their parents for the first time. It’s the first day of school and Llama Llama doesn’t like the fact that his Mama won’t be there one bit. In fact, he can’t imagine ever liking school if it means that Mama isn’t around. But maybe, with all the friends he makes and fun new games to play, he might just change his mind. (Ages 2-4)

I love all of the Llama Llama books and so does my two-year-old. We read all three almost every day. Llama Llama has some really useful and important messages for children, and the rhyming verses help to keep their attention. Large book and pictures also help. I think that this will help her to prepare for pre-school.

My granddaughter is 2. We had already bought her Llama Llama Mad at Mama & she loved it. I recently purchased Llama Llama Misse Mama & Llama Llama Red Pajamas & she LOVES them. She wants to read them over & over. Sometimes at night she tries to recite them while she's going to sleep. Keep them coming.
