Three years, one unbelievable dream…and consequences neither one of them could have imagined. Two unknown producers struggle to fulfill their quest to change lives through the power of film. Then everything falls apart and they realize they may be in over their heads. In Karen Kingsbury’s Take One, filmmakers Chase Ryan and Keith Ellison left the mission field of Indonesia for Hollywood with a dream bigger than both of them. Now they’ve done the impossible and raised the money to produce a film with a message that could change the world. But as Chase and Keith begin shooting, their plans begin to unravel. With millions of dollars at stake, they make a desperate attempt to keep the film in production—even as a temperamental actress, a botched production schedule and their own insecurities leave little room for the creative and spiritual passion that once motivated them. Was God really behind this movie after all? A chance meeting with John Baxter could bring the encouragement they need to persevere and produce a movie that will actually change people’s lives. Is it possible to beat the odds and make a movie unlike anything ever done before? Or will they lose everything in the process?

Karen's books are all excellent. This book was so very good. I could not put it down until I finished it. It was so wonderful that she added the Baxter family to the book. I have read the Baxter family series and this just added delight to me. This new series is new, but has the same wonderful inspiration writing of Karen Kingsbury.
