C.S. Lewis Collection

Both believers and non-believers among your friends will enjoy the brilliant writing of this master storyteller. C.S. Lewis wrote highly entertaining and deeply illuminating books that explored the nature of good and evil, and this collection includes writings from three of his most imaginative and intelligent works. What Christians Believe: In these classic essays, which began as talks on the BBC during World War II, Lewis creatively and simply explains the basic tenets of Christianity. Taken from the core section of Mere Christianity, the selections provide an accessible way for more people to discover the timeless truths of our faith. Made for Heaven: A keen insight into our souls characterizes the writings of C.S. Lewis. From his Chronicles of Narnia to Mere Christianity, his writings continually return to the theme of heaven as our true home, the land we have been searching for our whole lives. This volume includes some of Lewis’s most beautiful and profound writing. Paved with Good Intentions: The demon Wormwood first became famous through his correspondence with his uncle Screwtape, published in The Screwtape Letters. We are now privileged to peruse his field notebook, complete with scribbles, notes and excerpts from his uncle’s letters. It’s a “best of Screwtape” that offers witty and cutting strategies for how best to corrupt a brand new Christian and steal him from God. If you’re looking for a very special gift for the special people in your life—this is it. —Andrea

Apologetics/Apologist
July 06, 2009

I had wondered about the terms "apologetics" and "apologist", wondering why there would need to be apologies for the Bible... Then I discovered that is the term for DEFENDING the Truth of the Bible. I keep one of these little books in my purse for reading in those times I spend waiting - for service, meetings, etc. They are a must read for anyone wanting to better understand their walk with Christ. C.S. Lewis had a profound intimacy with Jesus and wanted others to understand. Mr. Lewis helps us understand the whys of Christianity.

A Must read for any Christian
May 24, 2008

Paved with Good Intentions will open your mind to what most people won't see. The fact that demons attack all of us. A little hard to read at first until you understand that its written backwards from a deamons point of view. These books will leave you better equipted and ready for everyday battle. A must read for any Christian, both new or seasoned veteran. God Bless

Good Read!
March 27, 2008

I really enjoyed reading this trilogy. C.S. Lewis is very thought-provoking and honest. As a former atheist, he is one of the best as far as addressing points that atheists and agnostics bring up about faith (or lack of it). These little books were easy to read in relatively short nightly sessions, and I looked forward to each time.

Finally!

I have always wanted to read some of C.S. Lewis's work, but thought it would be too deep. This collection is terrific, and very readable.
