I bought the book for a Christmas gift for my best friend who has just become a new born Christian. She told me right after she became my sister in Christ that she thirst to learn that she had never wanted something so bad that she could not wait from service to service for the church doors to open because she wanted to learn. I gave this to her in hope that each day she could take a time to read and she text me back after she began reading and told me that it was wonderful and that she was seeing things that she never knew. I have since then taken advantage of ordering me one and I hope that i can enjoy it as well as she does.

Other than the small print, I have no complaints. As a whole the NIV is not my favorite version of the Bible; but I like to read and compare the different versions anyway. I also like that this has devotionals in it. I'm wondering if some of the complaints of this Bible are complaints more about the NIV version and not so much about this actual Bible.
Now as I am getting older, the smaller print is a bit of an issue for me. I can read it, but a regular or larger print is more comfortable. I'm not quite at that stage where I need to read all large print books, but I don't necessarily like the tiny print either.
Do I like this Bible? While it isn't my favorite copy, I will still read it and enjoy it. Do your comparisons on Bible versions first if that is an issue. If you're wondering what the NIV version might be like b4 you purchase it, I've had good luck finding Bibles at the library. You could try there first...(?)
