The Chair

If someone gave you a chair and said Jesus made it, would you believe them?

In James L. Rubart’s The Chair, an elderly lady shows up in Corin Roscoe’s antiques store and gives him a chair she claims was crafted by Jesus. After a boy is miraculously healed after sitting in the chair, Corin wonders—could the chair heal the person whose life he destroyed 12 years ago? When a mega-church pastor tries to manipulate Corin into turning over the chair, he turns to a professor who knows more about its legend than he’ll reveal.

Corin’s life shatters as he searches for the truth about the unexplained phenomena surrounding the artifact—and he’s not the only one who’ll do almost anything to own the power seemingly connected to the chair.

I am addicted to all his books. Thought provoking. Great twists and turns. Rooms has been the best so far. Can't wait for his next book.

Thought provoking
February 19, 2012

Really enjoyed reading 'The Chair' the 3rd book published by James Rubart. It was very hard to stretch it to a 3 day read. There were surprises along the way and wonderful lessons in self searching of fears and phobias. 'Rooms' was a terrific book that made me wonder 'is this a fluke or is this an author to count on?' 'Book of Days' was good but not as good as the Rooms so I debated whether to purchase another book, but I am so happy that I did! The Chair measures up to his first published book. I count James Rubart as one of my newest favorite authors! I can hardly wait for his next release.

A really good book. Hard to put down. It had some twist to it and I didn't see it coming.
