In Chasing Mona Lisa, bestselling authors Tricia Goyer and Mike Yorkey weave a thriller set in the liberation of Paris in 1944.
As the soldiers of the Third Reich flee the Allied advance, they ravage the country, stealing countless pieces of art. Hermann Göring will stop at nothing to claim the most valuable one of all, the Mona Lisa, as a post-war bargaining chip to get him to South America. Can Swiss OSS agents Gabi Mueller and Eric Hofstadler rescue da Vinci’s masterpiece before it falls into German hands?
The nonstop action is sure to get readers’ adrenaline pumping as they join the chase to save the famous painting. From war-ravaged Paris to a posh country chateau, the race is on—and the runners are playing for keeps.

This was a fun, quick read, and based on historical facts about the Nazis and their desire to take as many valuable art pieces as possible as they swooped across Europe during WWII. It made me want to learn more about the history of the Mona Lisa at the Louvre.
